Purchased for my husband to start 3d resin printing. These are used to strain particles from the vat of resin back into it's container for reuse. The mesh on the bottom stays in place, and is fine enough to strain everything it needs to. The funnel end is small enough to fit most resin bottles, and doesn't get *that dirty. It is also collapsible so it saves a lot of space. Wonderful product value!! We've only had to get replacement filters as the funnel is still in great shape after about 2 years of use!4* on easy to clean because anything with liquid resin is a pain to clean it off properly.

These paint filters are smaller and much less effective than the ones you would buy in the paint store. Of course they are also much less expensive. For occasional hobby or craft work they would be fine, but not for professional contractor use. Here is why: The filter cone itself is about 35% smaller so holds less paint at a time. But the biggest issue is that the straining mesh at the bottom is maybe 50% as large, so it takes a long time to filter the paint and plugs up very quickly. Especially water based house paint. Thinner oil based paints would be less of an issue. Plus, the paper cone is very soft and not rigid. Using the included silicone funnel helps with that though. But as said earlier, for occasional use and time is not critical, these work just fine.

They seem well made and aren't too flimsy even when wet. If you put a little fold in the strainers, they fit even better into the silicone funnel.

There isn't much mesh area, so these drain very slowly after the first few seconds if there is anything to filter out. They do not disintegrate though, so that's good.
