The quality of this item has been satisfactory for me, best brand? Unknown ,as I was satisfied with this product and did not need to purchase another.

Q: What is the size of the Large around the wrap that goes around your bicep? I see the chest sizing, but no bicep measurements.

Q: there is a 6 inch long strap that comes with it...where does it go and how is it used

My Brace has small strap goes around bicep to anchor down the brace to your arm. Longer strap goes around body to opposite arm pit. Then the third "Y" strap is used to lift arm into the shoulder girdle. I don't believe my brace came with a loose six inch strap. Maybe a it is an extender strap for larger braces that are ordered to accommodate larger chest circumference.

Size is determined by chest circumference. Medium is up to 36", Large is 36"-50" and XLarge is 50-68" - It is also universal left and right.
